i bumped into Philip Tubeza today. he is a college batchmate and a close office friend.
it felt good getting reunited with old friends, people i always spent nightouts with during my early years in the Inquirer. he said, he was finally coming back as a reporter. it was a good thing on my part.
most of my friends and acquaintances have long been gone. one went to the United States and another got a new job in a pharmaceutical laboratory. and that was years ago.
most of the time, i find myself in the company of newly hired journalists. though i get along with almost all of them, it felt different to be with people i had spent time with when i was still starting out. i felt more `at home' in their company, considering the fact that i went to school with them.
well, the past has always a way of getting into the present. but this time, it is of a great purpose.
